Dr. Frances Chase-Warner
Greetings my name is Frances Warner and I am the Connections Reading Teacher here at Inman Middle School. I have been teaching in Atlanta Public Schools for over 25 years and each year brings different challenges and exceptional opportunities for me to prepare and help my students. I have earned both a Masters degree in Reading and Literacy and a Doctorate in Teacher Leadership.
My primary goal is to guide my students into the awesome world of reading by first assessing their abilities and then to help them advance at their own pace. I will also be available after school for tutorial on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4:15-5:15.
This year I am introducing my students to a new reading program. The name of the program is Reading Plus. Reading Plus is the only Common Core aligned reading intervention that actually prepares students to engage with complex text by developing the three key dimensions of successful reading: capacity, efficiency, and motivation. The program is a proven one that helps to increase reading achievement for students in middle school.
I look forward to working with your child this semester and I hope, with your parental guidance, we as a community, can help your child strive for excellence.
